Brief Introduction to the folks On October 18,2001 the Hickman Amateur Radio Club was born. In reality the club had been in the minds of several fellow "Hams" for quite a number of years. The first meeting of H.A.R.C was on the 18th of October. This club was formed for the purpose of good fellowship among all Amateur Operators from any of the surrounding counties that would like to participate. We are making arrangements for the placement of a couple of repeaters that we hope will help to make Hickman County and the surrounding counties a little safer during bad weather. As you can see the club is A.R.R.L affiliated, also we are very much into Skywarn. As this club grows, we hope to offer Skywarn training classes, have our Skywarn people setup with Deployment boxes, and participating in most of all of the normal activities that is the "norm" for the average Ham. The meetings will be on the 1st Sunday of each month, we will try several different places to make sure no one gets "bored" with the locations. So feel free to join in the activities, visit some of the sites in Hickman County while your here. As the group progresses we will keep you updated on the latest information. 73, H..A.R.C
